WHO AM I
Welcome to Avidya Coaching, highly experienced and individualized coaching for trail and ultrarunners of all levels.

I've raced more ultras than I can count in the last 15 years, and I am proud to say I've finished dead last (DFL) as well as currently hold course records. I race all distances, including five 200+ mile races (so far).
I've run through alcoholism, recovery, motherhood, and I've continued to hit the trail at my best and at my worst. Running is my longest love and my constant; it gives us the gift of suffering and teaches us humility and wisdom about life.

This is a place to ask questions and find answers. This is a place to push your limits and invite challenge.
Life, like a hot air balloon, must continuously be filled. There are times of rest, of drifting and sinking, but to remain in the sky, the balloon must be fed. We must also be fed with truths and challenges in order to fulfill our capacity.

A good coach builds effective plans, is available for reliable support, is smart with data and up-to-date on the evolving science of running, and understands that quality training is both numbers and more than the numbers.

I have been coaching for five years, and I've loved watching my athletes, ultra community, and myself grow in that time.

My coaching philosophy is always evolving with research and forged by experience, but I predominantly start from Jason Koop's theory of relative perceived effort and focus on building my athlete's capacity for work. This way, we succeed in reaching our goals, we run happy, and we stay injury-free even while pushing our maximum potential.

Let's do this!
